Keto Garlic Butter Breadsticks (Printable)

Soft, cheesy breadsticks topped with rich garlic butter. A low-carb favorite ready in 35 minutes.

# What You'll Need:

→ Cheese Dough

01 - 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (170 g)
02 - 2 oz cream cheese (56 g)
03 - 1 cup almond flour (100 g)
04 - 1 large egg
05 - ½ tsp baking powder
06 - ¼ tsp salt

→ Garlic Butter Topping

07 - 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
08 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
10 - 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

# How-to Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth.
03 - Add almond flour, baking powder, and salt to the cheese mixture. Mix well.
04 - Add the egg and mix until a soft dough forms. Use a spatula or your hands; dough will be sticky.
05 - Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Roll out into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
06 - In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic and parsley. Brush half of the garlic butter over the dough.
07 - Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
08 - Remove from the oven, brush with remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired. Slice into 8 breadsticks and serve warm.

# Expert Pointers:

01 -
  • They pull apart like real bread, soft inside with that perfect slightly crisp edge that makes restaurant breadsticks so addictive.
  • The dough comes together in one bowl and you don't need any special skills or weird keto ingredients nobody stocks.
  • Each breadstick has only 2 net carbs, which means you can eat three and still stay in ketosis without guilt.
02 -
  • The dough will feel impossibly sticky at first. Keep working it with your spatula or hands, and it'll come together into something manageable.
  • Roll the dough between parchment paper instead of on your counter. Without parchment, you'll have a disastrous sticky situation on your hands.
  • Brush the second half of the garlic butter on immediately after baking while the breadsticks are still hot. This is when the garlic flavor really penetrates.
03 -
  • Use a pizza cutter to slice the baked breadsticks into even portions. A knife drags and tears the soft dough.
  • If the edges get too dark before the center is done, tent the baking sheet loosely with foil for the last few minutes.
